No fue algo sencillo ni fácil de manejar. Las cuerdas magullaban mi cuerpo, incapaz de reaccionar. Mi mirada arañaba el techo, anhelando llegar a más. No vale la pena pensar en el quizás.
Aún así, no te diste cuenta. Sentí el cierzo dentro de mis venas, gélidas promesas agarrotaban mis piernas. Debí quedarme, pero me llamó la imprudencia. El calor resaltaba por su ausencia.
Y tardé en darme cuenta de que fue otra falsa corazonada. Cegado por las ilusiones caminaba sin ser consciente de que estaba retrocediendo en el mapa. Mi ansiado deseo me volvió a dar la espalda.
La esperanza se tornaba amarga, como el rostro que reflejaba mi cara.

Hay personas que te atrapan y no te sueltan nunca. En cambio, hay otras que se marchan y no vuelven jamás. Los años pasan y todo sigue igual. Mi compañera, la soledad, nunca defrauda.

It was neither simple nor easy to handle. The strings bruised my body, unable to react. My gaze scratched the ceiling, longing for more. It's not worth thinking about the maybe.
Still, you didn't notice. I felt the cold wind inside my veins, icy promises seized my legs. I should have stayed, but recklessness called me. Heat was notable for its absence.
And it took me a while to realize that it was another false hunch. Blinded by illusions, I walked without being aware that I was going backwards on the map. My longed-for desire turned its back on me again.
Hope became bitter, like the expression on my face.
What was waiting for me if I didn't know what I was looking for?
There are people who catch you and never let you go. On the contrary, there are others who leave and never return. Years go by and everything stays the same. Loneliness, my companion, never lets me down. Always waiting for the last thing we lack.
