Trema 01:24
SHIVER
 I will never live enough.
I would offer you words as shreds of a shaking body.
Still in the moment of a broken breath, this air is such a dense noise.
2.
Tempi Morti 02:01
DOWNTIME Downtime that feels like the electric light glowing on these nights spent in silence. I’ve searched deep inside of me but I couldn’t find anything worth to be said. You used to fill my days, you used to tear my body so I had something to mend the morning after at least.
3.
Movente 01:23
MOTIVE Standing still I mistake my waiting for you with all the already said and wasted words and with our future dead body. Absence has raped your face and I don’t recognize the scent of home. I’m breathing gestures made of concrete in to let you hold the impression of my breathing out.
4.
Rilievo 02:03
RELIEF
In the narrow rejection of the places you live in, shapes mirror an unravelling face and in that crack the noise from the space we are soaked in clutches. While looking for a border I’ve found fragments of myself scattered on the sand. Already unclear outlines we are tangled up in our house walls as we were nameless city fossils.
5.
Ho Chi Minh 02:33
HO CHI MINH
Your hectic streets and the hours spent head down in the grey smoke air, stiff as wood limbs are punching this flaming red sky. Making your way through the years tightening around your neck, breaking them one by one with the skill of those who are doomed to move on at all costs
The ear-splitting chaos gets silent and tame while you walk away and I get lost and I don’t even know if the words i used to line up were for me, for you or for this concrete tangle carrying me away like the flow and I don’t even know how long I’ve been left alone in this room.
6.
Vetro 01:38
GLASS That thick void that fills spaces between these walls, the traffic flows just like what’s already gone lost. Meanings vanish through your fingers, ages ago I used to understand their movements. Armies of polyester statements, broken into halves or not said at all, are wrestling for air between the lips and the throat.
7.
Progresso 02:32
PROGRESS I used to see far ahead and try to get lost where lines overlap and the night never comes. I used to rise my head and avoid staring at the concrete, fearing it could wind and tie me to something that should be called someone. I used to rappel down your cliffs to fill my mouth with those words I’ve never written. But now that years have sunk their roots in us, as if we were old worn rooms, now I fade into buildings built with the memory of this everlasting city pushing forward as I might have only quit fighting it.
8.
Metropoli 02:28
METROPOLI
I’m leaving you the empty sound of these words, my days wrapped up in kilometers of paper. I’m leaving you time looking like fire on skin because these insensitive eyes can’t see its light but the trace of its passing only.
You were a metropolis with frail desires, I’m trying hard but I cannot remember how it felt to have your streets traveling my traits.
I’ll pile up these heaps of words against that memory that shatters into specks of dust those days when we felt like rocks.

Respiri 01:49
BREATHS The ground you’re walking on is a watery unstable steel swallowing the days and the years you haven’t lived yet, like electric wires clumped in midair are lingering and hanging from balconies. I’ve seen a slow unstoppable sleep closing your eyelids. The city-that-never-sleeps noise looked at my face with a free from deception steady smile. Through still fans and open doors I’ve seen a crackling no exit existence. As if you were telling me we were going to collapse in this clear speechless horizon.
10.
Lascito 02:22
BEQUEST Now that darkness flows and wraps around the walls you fade into too short days waves. You’ve made me sleep-deprived and I’ve learned to love this aftermath of thoughts, dark as the rain that’s stitching them on me. You’re the silence I’ve been waiting for hours.

Interludio 01:03

Niente 05:40
NOTHING You might believe that intermittent breathing and motive apneas are enough to beat your fists against the window panes and to tell me you’re choking. You think I’m running away but the floor has my features, I’ve swallowed whole cities up to fill a blank that’s not your own but has only come between your steps. I will follow you where nothing’s as it seems.

about

Working with Soft Moon’s producer and sound engineer Maurizio Baggio at La Distilleria in Bassano del Grappa (Italy) helped the band find a more cohesive and mature sound. “After the release of Ere, we played over a hundred of shows,” bassist Federico Trimeri says. “The live experience has always been our distinguishing mark that defines us as a band. During the recording sessions we tried to recreate the same sound of our shows.”

Borders can be mental, existing only in our heads, and yet feel as powerful as though they were made of barbed wire and guarded with guns. And then there are the borders that are very much physical, which can have quite visceral emotional ramifications. The furious, Italian, hardcore act STORM{O} is back in 2019 with the new album Finis Terrae out on October 4th.
